Mormor Karl

The ‘Mormor Karl’ project (‘Grandma Karl’ in English) targets several aspects of automatic pseudonymization, aiming to advance Sweden’s work on open access to research data, namely: (1) semantic and structural correctness of replacements, (2) effects of pseudonymization on research data and (3) its effectiveness in protecting identities of writers.

We are thrilled to announce that the Joint Workshop on Legal and Ethical Issues in Human Language Technologies (LEGAL2026) and Computational Approaches to Language Data Pseudonymization, Anonymization, De-identification, and Data Privacy (CALD-pseudo 2026), co-organized by our Mormor Karl team, will be co-located with LREC 2026!

We encourage those interested in submitting to or participaring in the workshop, which will be held in a hybrid format, to check out our workshop website and stay tuned for more information there and in the upcoming calls for papers.
